erk. hangover. champagne hangover...
went to the club's christmas party last night. straight from work. 3 pints of cider, 2 large jagermeisters, a glass of wine and at least 2 glasses of bollinger. feeling a tad ropey right now - and I want to eat everything on earth.
was a good night though - I got to meet all the new staff properly and team management won both rounds of the bowling (I'd forgotten I bowl wrong - overhand not underhand... just can't do it the right way) then we headed to epernay where will bought 2 bottles of bollinger. later on 2 more were bought. how very odd.
there was a surprising amount of snow in hyde park this morning and absolutely none in huddersfield - trains weren't too bad all things considered.
looking forward to the weekend - lots of visitors - flock and modulate on friday and taekwondo curry and burlesque on saturday. hmm maybe german market on sunday afternoon too. then sheep. marvellous.
hmmm. I'm sitting here now, dreaming of a bacon sandwich. rarrrrr! |

I took the bike to work today ... that was ... er ... interesting?
So, what sort of public transport travel cards do you get in leeds
I have a weekly train pass - you'll need to get the photo card from the station but can buy the actual tickets on trains too - it saves about one day's worth a week - and with one to leeds you can then save even more if you use it at night or the weekend too. you can get monthly bus passes I think - ask al
I'm sitting here eating a bacon sandwich. You know just for kicks ;-)

Ahhh...explains the text message =;-)
Sounds like fun....may have to take you bowling to see this 'new' technique !
Am looking forwards to the weekend....haven't seen much of you in a while, which is poo !
BTW - E is also comming up, and driving, however don't really want to put *both* cars in the ncp, so where is good to free park, or is it best to leave in your street ?
you're both driving? can't you swing by coventry and pick her up? :P
parking on my street is really not good - you could stick it round the corner on someone else's road but suspect you'll have *no* joy on ours.
I'm probably not the best person to ask about parking in leeds though. no idea if there's any free parking in town.
Cov is a touch over an hour when the roads are quiet...friday afternoon/evening its more like two....then i'd also be comming up the M1, which is a disaster....May make it by Christmas.
At night there's usually some spaces free on the street beyond The Subculture, though you might have to go a few hundred yards up to find one - there are more free later on. Just don't leave *anything* on the seats. Way too many people assume "oh, no-one will bother with a 15 quid MP3 player", only to find that a) yes they will and b) it costs 80 quid to get a side window replaced. Every now and then I see a little pile of glass along there where someone made that mistake, though I've never had any bother parking there.
Those parking spots are good for the night, but not the weekend alas !
Agree with you regarding not leaving *anything* on show....they don't know its £15 until they have got it !
mmm... bacon sandwich...
*is hungry*
Was lots of snow in my end of Hudds :\ Bloody snow! | |
